Principle
Immuno-PCR as first described by Sano et al. is a technology for the ultrasensitive analysis of proteins, like biopharmaceutical compounds, therapeutic antibodies, cytokines and many more. Immuno-PCR combines the well-established ELISA methodology with the signal amplification power of the PCR. As a consequence, not only does Immuno-PCR lead to an approx. 100 to 10,000-fold gain in sensitivity compared to conventional ELISA, but it also reveals a set of additional advantages.
Chimera Biotec’s Imperacer® technology is based on the Immuno-PCR method. Imperacer® combines this straight forward innovative technology with high effective antibody-DNA conjugates, robust assay protocols and an easy real-time PCR read-out. This ultra sensitive ligand binding assay technology is usable in a broad field of applications and industries.
The Imperacer® Technology can be adapted to any standard 96 well microplate immuno assay (sandwich, direct, competitive). The detection antibody is coupled to a DNA marker. Signal read out is performed by real time PCR. During amplification of the marker a fluorescent signal equivalent to the amount of protein is generated.
